PARLIAMENTARY NEWS.
[Br Tblegbafh.] fSEOM THE OWN COBKEBPONDBNT OB THB "PBBSS."] WELLINGTON, July 4. Ministers have been in Cabinet most of the afternoon and evening considering the Financial Statement, which the Treasurer still intends to deliver to-morrew evening if it can be managed. 'J here is, however, a feeling on the part of both Ministers and members that it is desirable to have as many as possible present when the Budgot is introduced and the Ministerial policy regarding local finance explained. I think, therefore, that there will not be much regret should tho non-completing of the departmental estimates, to which I referred last night, render it impossible for the Statement to be delivered to-morrow night. At the same time I understand that Major Atkinson, having promised it on that dure, holds himself bound to carry out his promise if practicable. I learn that most of the Bills promised by the Government are well advanced, and several are in type, including the Representation Bill, whiah is nearly ready, the schedules included.
