[PBBSS ASSOCIATIOH TBLBGBAM3.] THAMES, July 5. Fatal Shooting Case. A hoy named Buckley, one of a number who were playing in a shooting gallery, got shot in the breast, and died this morning. It is said a nigger, who had charge of the gallery, presented a rifle at the boys, who were teasing him. An inquest will be held this afternoon. Scarlet Fever. Scarlet fever is very prevalent here. The surgeons recommend the closing of the public school. DUNEDIN, July 5. Supreme Court. In the Supreme Court, Lawrence Jameson was acquitted on a charge of robb«ry from the person. Hughes, for the Ohristchuroh jewel robbery, was sentenced to two yeats j Hunter, an old ofLndar, for receiving stolen property, five years' penal servitude; and Gonnell, for the same effence, one year.
