CHRISTCHURCH. Feidat, Junk 10. (Before Messrs Ollivier, Parker, and Wostenre, J.P.’s.’) Drunkenness, —For first offence three men wore fined 5s each, or twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. Indecent Exposure. John Prescott pleaded guilty to three charges of this nature. Ho was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment with hard labor, one year on each charge. Kb Cecil Gurnet.—Defendant herein applied for a rehearing, on the ground of having, since the hearing, obtained fresh evidence. Mr Oowlishaw appeared to oppose. After hearing Mr Gurney, the Bench said there had not been shown any sufficient reason why the evidence now mentioned had not been brought forward at the hearing, and refused the application. Applicant could, if he chose, appeal to the Supremo Court, Mr Gurney said he should appeal.
