The Irish land Bill. is the House of Commons, to-day, consideration of the Irish Land Bill in i committee was made by Sir Stafford i Northcote, who condemned the measure and denounced in strong terms the feebleness of the Irish policy of the Government. No progress was made with any of the clauses of the Bill. Affairs in IrelandThe London press, in discussing the present state of affairs in Ireland, are ' almost unanimous in recommending the orovernment to take steps to completely suppress the Land League. Intelligence from Ireland continues to report serious affrays between the police and the people at various places over the eviction of tenants. The state of the country is daily bocoming more disturbed. More Borrowing. Tenders are invited to-day on behalf of the New South Wales Government for a loan of £2,050,000, to bear interest at the rate of 4 per cent.
