OHBISTOHDROH. Tuesday, May 31. [Before J. Ollivier and B. Westonra, itaqs., Drunkenness. — Henry Fitz Gerald Allen was charged with being drunk and disorderly. Prisoner, for similar offences, or for offences arising from his habits as an incorrigible drnnkard, had been convicted since July, 1872, on twenty-five occasions, his last conviction being on November 28th, 1880, for lunacy from drink. The magistrates recommended prisoner to declare himself as being insane, bo that he might be taken care of for a lengthened period. As ho appeared to bo very ill, prisoner was remanded for one week. For a first offence a man was fined ss. Larceny. —Albert Pinkstono, who had just been released from gaol after having served a term of eighteen months’ imprisonment, was brought up charged with having stolen a diamond scarf pin, tho property and from tho shop of Marcus Nathan, Cashel street, on February 27th, 1879. The police applied for a remand. Prisoner said the police had baa tho charge under their consideration for at least four months, and should have been prepared to go on with their proceedings. He hoped their Worships would make tho remand, if granted, as brief as possible. The case was then remanded for one day only.
