The total quantity of wheat afloat for Groat Britain is 2,130,000 quarters. Adelaide wheat, ox warehouse, has fallen to 46s per 4961 b; Adelaide flour, ox warehouse, 33s 6d per 2801 b; New Zealand wheat remains at 445. New Zealand Five per cent. 10.40 Loan has risen i, and is quoted to-day at 105; Now Zealand Five per Cent. 1889 Loan remains at 104 ox div.; New Zealand Four and a Half per Cent. 1879-1901 Loan, 102‘. PoliticalAt a banquet in the city yesterday evening the Marquis of Salisbury mado a speech, in the course of which he referred to the Irish Land Bill in disparaging terms, severely denouncing the Irish policy of the Government. May 21. Mail Arrival. The steamship Orient arrived at Plymouth to-day with tho Australian mails of April 6th. WoolAt the wool sales to-day 10,200 bales were offered, making a total of 90,500 catalogued since the opening. Tho tone of the sale was firm.
