Adelaide and New Zealand breadstnffs are without quotable change. Best Scotch pig iron. No. 1 f.o.b. in Clyde, 475. There is little enquiry for hides, and prices are *d lower. Wool Demanded. At the wool auction to-day, 1000 bales wore offered. There was a good demand generally, and full prices were realised. The withdrawals to date since the opening of the present series amount to 4000 bales. P. and 0. Co. The Peninsular and Oriental Steamship Company have declared a dividend of 21 per cent, for the half-year. Banking. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £14,875,500.
