Reforming Reform, At its rising last night tho Legislative Council adjourned until Tuesday next, when tho Assembly will consider the Reform Bill, as amended by the Council. It is generally believed that there are hopes of a compromise being affected, and of a settlement of tho difficulty between the two Houses being arrived at. Outward Suez Mail. The P. and O. Company’s s.s. Rosetta, with tho Homeward Suez mails, sailed from this port on Tuesday morning last. ADELAIDE, May 12. Colonial Treasurer. Mr W. B. Rounswell has beeu apapointed Colonial Treasurer in tho place of Mr Fowler, resigned. HOBART, May 12. Population. The census taken on April 3rd shows the population of Tasmania to be 116,000.
