[eeutee’s telegrams.] LONDON. April 25 Our Securities.
New Zealand securities to-day advance by half to one per cent., present quotations being as follows : —For 5 per cent., 10-40 loan, 104 i; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 106 ; 4a per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 101. The markets for Australian and New Zealand breadstuffs, and Australian tallow, are without quotable change. Violence in Ireland. The state of Ireland is causing renewed uneasiness, there having lately been a marked increase of agrarian crime. Reports are now coming to hand daily of outrages committed in various parts of the country. PARIS, April 25. France Prepares.
Telegrams have been received from Algorria, reporting that the Arabs there are greatly excited over tho state of relations between France and Tunis, and are showing a strong warlike feeling. Tho French Government has given orders for the immediate despatch of 40,000 troops to Algeria in preparation for any emergency.
