The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Thursday, April 14th, wore aa follows : Spirits, £233 4a Id ; tobacco, £75 8b 6d ; wine, .£43 8b ; sugar, £24 17b 8d ; tea, £C 13s 4d ; goods by weight, £121; ad valorem, £285 ss. Total, £789 16s 6d. PROPERTY BALE, At the salerooms of Messrs H. Matson and Co., on Saturday last, a sale of city and suburban properties took place. The attendance was largo, but biddings slow. A number of building allotments at Avonside, and three fine family residences on the river failed to find purchasers. A number of sections at Locksley, near New Brighton, were then put up, and the following is the result: —Nos. 23 and 24, containing 2a Or 18p, at £35 per acre; No. 25, containing la Or 27p, at £33 per acre: Nos. 32 and 34, containing 8a Or 22p, at £33 per acre. Several sections in the Epsom Township at the Racecourse, and 100 acres at Bolleston, ware passed in, and several other properties failed to find purchasers. Total solo, £3Bl Os lOd. SHARE MARKET.
