KAIAPOI FOAL, GRAIN, AND INDUSTRIES EXHIBITION.
There was a large attendance of members at the special meeting of the Farmers’ Club on Friday evening, when the entries for the foregoing show were received, and applications for space considered. In consequence of some of the entry books not having been banded in for the meeting, it was decided that the time for receiving same might be extended till noon to day. The exhibition is expected to be a more successful one than usual, owing to the large measure of support promised. In addition to the show of roots and grain in the Oddfellows’ Hall, the exhibition of local industries will prove a great attraction, and several residents in town have promised to exhibit flowers, fruit, and vegetables. All exhibits of this nature are to be admitted up to 10 am. on Thursday free. The committee, it was resolved, should meet this evening to allot spaces, and again on Wednesday afternoon to receive exhibits such as buggies, machinery, implements, and local industries.
