OHBIBTOHUBOH. Friday, March 25, [Before E. Weetenra, J. E. Parker, ana J. Oroeby, Bnqrs,, P. P’s.) Dbunkbnnbsb. — Catherine McDonald alias Sullivan, who had been let off for the same offence only a day or two ago, and who wui described by the police as an habitual drunkard, was now sent to gaol for fourteen Purse Snatching. —William John Simmonds alias William Parker, on remand from the 24th, was brought up charged with stealing a purse and £5 from Donald Mcßarlane. The prisoner denied the charge. The prosecutor was put in the box, but being too drunk to coherently tell his story, the case was remanded till Saturday. Prosecutor to be locked up to enable him to become sober. Assault. —F. H. von Scbmneborg, on summons, pleaded guilty to assaulting G. W. Allan on the 22nd inst. It appeared that the parties had had some words in the street touching tho result of a case which had boon decided in the Court that day, and Schoe eberg being irritated by something Allan said, struck tho latter in tho face with the back of his hand. Tho Bench fined defendant 10s, and dismissed him with a caution. Assault.— John Miller was charged with assaulting his wife. After hearing evidence, the Bench thought tho case was trivial, and dismissed it, recommending the parties to separate if they could not live quietly together.
