Tho Customs duties collected at Chriatcburcb on Saturday. March 19th, were ob follows: — Spirit!), dill 7a 6(1: tobacco, .£163 19a G 3; wine, £5 13a; sugar, £lB 13a 4d; tea, £6 16a 8d ; ooda by weight, £lll 13a 3d; ad valorem, £93 15a. Total, £lll 18a 3d. Messrs C. B. Tavdob and Co. held a sale yesterday of freehold land and eight roomed house at Avonaide, but tho bidding was very languid. Tho property did not change hands, not realising owner’s value. _ The leasehold promises in Colombo street, having three yeara unoipirod, at a ground rent ot £33 per annum, ealiaed £l3O.
