In the Assembly tho Minister of Works fully stated the railway policy. The Government proposed lines of railway to include the following :—Homebnsh to W;,ratah, Sydney to Woolongong, Kiama-Gonlbonrn toCcons, Alhnry to Murray, Orange to Forbes, Narracdera to Jerilderie, Coostamandra to Gungdaui, Mnrrnmburrnh to Bayley. The debate was adjourned till Tuesday. Mr Fitzpatrick, tho leader of the Opposition, has resigned, and it is expected that Mr Foster will take tho position. A public breakfast was given at the Town Hall to welcome Mr Forster. Between sixty and seventy persons wore present, and the proceedings were enthusiastic. Mr Forster, in his speech, said he would take a scat in the Assembly as an independent man, and give a fair support to tho Government. WILCANNIA, March 17.
