THE GOVERNOR’S LEVEE.
An undress levee was held to-day in the Provincial Council Chamber. Shortly after noon his Excellency, accompanied by hi* suite, entered the chamber. The Premier and the Eokotui of Thakamdrovi were present, and Colonel Packe and Major Lean were also in attendance. Hi* Excellency’s aide de-camp, having announced the levee, the following gentlemen were presented : The Primate, his Honor Judge Johnston, the Doan of Christchurch, the Mayor of Christchurch, Colonel Brett.
