Tararua arrived yesterday from Northern Ports, and left for tli'.i South and Melbonrne at noon. The Union Steamship Company's s.b. Beautiful Star arrived yesterday from Dunedin, and wont to the graving dock jatty to put out her cargo of stono for the dock contractors. Tho Anno Molhuish, with 500 tons of coal for this port, left Newcastle on February 24th; and the Cynosure, with 900 tons, on February **• The barque Island City, from Newcastle, and the Examiner, from Greymonth, arrived yesterday, both with coal «argoei for Mr C. W. Vomer. It is uotifiod elsewhere that in future the steamer Akaroa will leave here for Pigeon Bay an hour earlier than formerly. _ A change in the fares is also announced by this steamer, and it ia slatod that the alteration in the time of starting will amongßt other advantages admit of tho Akaroa calling in at Holmes' Bay every trip.
