[PBH PEESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, February 26. Fiji. The Southern Cross has arrived from Lovuka, and the details of the gale show that previous reports of damage are greatly exaggerated. The steamers Go-Ahead and Phoenix, sunk alongside the wharf, have since been raised. The sohooner Tasman was wrecked alongside the wharf, and several cutters were stranded. The damage ashore is not serious, with the exoeption of the unroofing of Judge Game's house. The celebrated ohief, Maufa, is dead. A Chatterbox Husband. Garrard, the unemployed agitator, charged his wife at the Police Court to-day with illusing and threatening to poison him. Mrs Garrard said her husband was a loafer, would talk, but would not work. William Smythe, the night warder at the Hospital, was found dead in bed from heart disease. CAMBRIDGE, February 25. The Land Court. The Land Court re Patetere has been adjourned from day to day to afford time to examine the statement of the disbursements by the Government on account of the block. At to-day's sitting Mr Mackay obtained a further adjournment till Monday, guaranteeing that in the interim he would complete the examination, and ask for no further adjournment. A great meeting of Natives is convened for to-morrow morning, in the Constabulary paddock, to consider the aocounts*
