The Minister for Railways, at a banquet on Friday, spoke ic favor of an increase of population to develop the resources of the country. He said that the wisest policy was to make the colony attractive, so that the most enterprising men should be induced to settle amongst them, and that an they want men of some capital and great energy they should not be afraid of increasing the population.
