MELBOURNE, February 21. Political. There is a probability of a conference of the two Houses of Parliament being 1 held to agree, if possible, to a compromise on the Reform question, and the interest is stated to be increasing, but nothing official on the subject has yet been announced. A sis days’ pedestrian contest commenced at midnight last night. There are fifteen competitors, including Swan, of New Zealand.
