THE AUSTRALIANS AT NAPIER. [tbbbb association tblbobak.] NAPIER, February 18. Very little interest was manifested in the Australian match to-day, the result being a foregone conclusion. The only hope of tho Twenty-two was to escape a one innings defeat, but even that was not accomplished, the Eleven winning by one innings and 1 run. The Twenty-two batted one man short, Gibbons bsing unable to attend. The Australians were two men short in the field, their places being filled by volunteers from tho Twenty-two.
