PRESENTATION OF MEDALS.
The ceremony of presenting the medals for long service to the offioers and members of ttae fire Brigade will take place this evening at half past seven at the Council Chambers. His Worship the Mayor will make the presentations. Xhe following are the names of the recipients, the date of joining, length of of service, and number of bars awarded : Superintendent W. Harris, April, 1861, nineteen years to April, 1880, medal and seven bars. Foreman T. J. Hobbs, October, 1861, seventeen years to October, 1881, medal and six bars. Foreman H. O. West, May, 1866, fifteen years to May. 1881, medal and five bars. Foreman E. O. Ashby, June, 1868, thirteen years to June, 1881, medal and four bars. Foreman E. W. Tut ton, May, 1870, eleven jenra to May, 1881, medal and three bars. Engineer W. Johnston, June, 1865, fifteen years to June, 1880, modal and five bars. Assistant-Engineer Q. Fuller, March, 1670, elovon years to March, 1891, medal and three bars.
Assistant-Engineer A. W. Hillier, August. 1873, seven yeara to August, 1880, medal and one bar.
Branchman O. Samuels, May, 1870, eleven years to May, 1881, medal and three bur j. Branchman B. E. Green. February, 1874, seven years to February, 1881, medal and one bar. Branohman C. C. Dash. February, 1874, seven years to February, 1881, medal and one bar.
