The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Friday, February Hth, were aa follows: Spirits, £lB3 14a ; cigars, £23 14a sd; wine, £23 12a 7d j beer, £l9 la 6d ; sugar, £4B 10a ; tea, £ls 12a lOd; goods by weight, .£l4O 6a lOd; ad valorem, £ll9 8a; other duties, £3. Total, £573 19a 4d. PROPERTY SALE. At the land and estate solo rooma of Messrs H. Matson and Co., on Saturday last, the usual weekly sale of properties was held. The attendance was fair, but not so largo as usual. The fir at property offered waa in the estate of Wm. Crabtree, at Knightstown, and the following are the results :—Lota No. 1 and 2 were sold together, the section having a large frontage upon the Crescent road and High street, Knightatown, containing 31 perches, together with a commodious two-storied store and dwel-ling-house, a baherouso, and 4-roomed cottage, which realised £402 10s, Lot 3. A section containing 16 perches, with frontage on the Crescent road, together with a superior 4-roomed oottage with verandah, sold for £137 10s. Lot 4, containing 14 perches land, with frontage on High street, together with a three-roomed cottage, realised £77 10a. One and three-quarter acres land, situate at Amberley, failed to find a purchaser. Four sections in the township of Rangiora were then offered, of which one containing 33 perches realised £2l. The balance were withdrawn. The total of the sale waa £638 10s.
