THE AUSTRALIANS AT WELLINGTON. [PBESS ASSOCIATION TBLEGEAM.J WELLINGTON, February 8. The cricket match was finished to-day. At 12.40 Mansell and Ronaldson took their stand at the wickets. The score was 56 on resuming. After 2 bad been added Ronaldson was caught at point. Armitage followed, but Bpo£forth levelled his leg stump by a Yorker. G. 8. Kennedy filled the gap, but lost Mansell, who was clean bowled by Palmer—6o— Haughton went in, and Kennedy was dismissed by Palmer, The first wide against the Australian Eleven was now bowled by Palmer. McGirr was the next man, and when the score had reached 66 Haughton was neatly taken in the slips by Palmer off Spofforth, Luxford was the last man, and in attempting to steal a run lost his wicket, the innings closing for 68. The Australians thus winning the match by one innings and 21 runs. WELLINGTON. Second Innings.
