MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under THURSDAY, JANUARY 27. For Akaroa and Otago, per Penguin, at 11.15 a.m.; lute fee letters, at 11.30 a.m.; guard’s van, 12 noon train. FRIDAY, JANUARY 28. For Northern Ports, per Te Anan, at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JANUARY 29. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0., per Hawea, as follows; — Ordinary letters at 6.50 p.m.; late fee letters* at? pm.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; money orders at 3 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on March 15th, MONDAY. JANUARY 31. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, at 7.30 °‘ m ‘ TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, &c., per Te Anan.
