The first half-yearly meeting of the Prahrae (Victoria) Coffee Tavern Company shows that although the business has only been conducted for sixteen weeks yet there is alroady a balance of profit, and the business is inoreuting rapidly from week to week. The "Argus" was not the first—hut the third—newspaper issued as a daily in Melbourne. The first morning journal wao the "Patriot," under JohnDy Fawkner, the second the "Herald," managed by Gtaorge Cavanagh, and the " Argus " was the third. A Roman villa has been discovered near Brading, in the Islo of Wight. The external walls, as at present clouted, measure about 52 feet and 37 feet, and enclose about six or seven chambers, with passages, &0., connected, there is reason to believe, with many others.
