Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under SATURDAY, JANUARY 22. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7 30 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail.
MONDAY, JANUARY 24. For Northern Ports, per St. Kilda, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. TUESDAY, JANUARY 25. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Porta, per a.s. Wanaka, at 1.40 p.m.; late foe letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26.
For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Express, to connect with s.s. Albion at Bluff, at 7 a.m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post Office van attached to the Express train. SATURDAY, JANUARY 29. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, &c., per Hawea.
