Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : SATURDAY, JANUARY 22. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7 30 p m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY, JANUARY 25. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; gusri’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per s.s. Wanaka, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, 2pm.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. SATURDAY. JANUARY 29. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, &c., per Hawea. SYDNEY J. DICE, Chief Postmaster.
