[reuter’s telegrams.] SYDNEY, January 20. The Conference. The Intercolonial Conference met again to-day, the Hon. T. Dick being present as representative of New Zealand. The question of the inflax of Chinese was under consideration during the greater part of the sitting, and a resolution was finally passed setting forth that the introduction of Chinese at the public expense in one colony was prejudicial to all the colonies. A committee was further appointed to prepare a memorial to the Home Government on (he subject. The memorial will movo representations in favor of a reversal of tho action of the Government in Western Australia in originating a scheme for Chinese immigration. Tho resolution passed by tho Conference, that the introduction of Chinese at tho public expense in one colony is prejudicial to all colonies, has special reference to the Western Australian scheme as recently gazetted. Ship AshoreThe steamship Collarvy, belonging to tho Newcastle Steamship Company and a regular trader between Newcastle and Sydney, has run ashore to the northward of Manly beach, on tho coast, near Sydney. She is expected to get off again soon. Sailed—Rotorua, for Auckland.
