WAIMAKARIRI BOARD OF CONSERVATORS AND THEIR CHAIRMAN.
To the Editor of the Globe.
Sib, —I had serious thoughts, a few weeks ago, of being a candidate for a seat on the Waimukariri Board of Oonservators, but, like tho late chairman, was rather anxious to know whj were likely to be my colleagues. However, after reading tho present chairman's letter, which appeared in your issue of lust evening, I shall never cease to lament that I am not a member of that illustrious body. My education has been sadly neglected, especially my orthography and syntax, and I only now begin to realiso the loss I have suslained in not being associated with tho ctiairman of the Waimukariri Board of Conservators, whoso elegance of diction is almost equal to Macaulay's. deriously, Mr Editor, what is it all about ? I havo tried to spell it out, but, for the life of me, can make neither top nor tail of it; but then, you know, I am only AN IGNORAMUS.
