Wallace. Hand!cappers—Messrs S. Lee and E. Main. Treasurers—Messrs S. Lse and T. Brooks. This meeting was held on the beach at the Head of the Bay on Monday. A largo number of spectators was present. The day was fine, and the fields were fairly well contested. The usual followers of race meetings were present in considerable numbers. Mr Brooks, of the Head of the Bay Hotel, catered for the hungry and thirsty in good style. The stewards were übiquitous, and Mr B. Barter, the secretary, was attentive and obliging. The following are the results : Maiden Plate of 10 sovs, for horses that have never won public money (hack races excepted) ; entrance 20a.
