CAPTAIN BOGARDUS AND HIS SONS.
The redoubtable captain is evidently but the first of a line of good shots. The elder son, Eugene, has been from infancy before the public as a crack shot, with the rifle or smooth bore, and now appear upon the scene three more of the captain’s eons, aged respectively, nine, seven and five years. The family is now giving exhibitions through the West. _ As they expect soon to come East we give a resume of the feats accomplished successfully by the quartette. Eugene goes first through the performance so well known here already. The next part of the programme is Edward, Peter and Henry, of ages mentioned above, shooting at targets and glass balls. Among the feats is each breaking a glass ball held in the father’s fingers. The programme includes rifle shooting by the captain himself, who, during this exhibition, shoots nickels from the boys’ fingers, knocks the ashes from a cigar held in Eugene’s month, and snuffs a candle held by the youngster Henry. The show closes by shooting glass balls from traps by the whole family. They, no doubt, will excite much attention wherever they give thoir unique and unexcelled performance.
