LAND SALE.
The Sah .corns of Messrs H. Matson and Co. on Saturday last presented the usual busy appearance, the large saleroom being crowded! The great interest of the day seemed to be centred in Mr Sail’s 13 acre paddcct, situate at Papanui and sub-divided into building allotments, and although the attendance was large the biddings were far from being of an animated description. The following were the lots sold Section 1, containing 34 perches, £7B; lot 2, 34 perohes, £79; lots 3,4, and 5, each containing 1 rood, £7l each; lot 10, 1 rood, £67; lot 11,1 rood, £67; lot 12, 42 perches, £67; lot 9, 34 perches. £66 ; lot 13,32 perches ,’£66 ; lot 16, 38 perches, £6l: lot 17, 38 perches, £6l; lot 18, 42 perches, £6l; lot 6,34 perches. £55 ; lot 7, 34 perches, £55 ; lot 8, 34 perches, £55; lot 24, 32 perches, £45 ; lot 14,32 perches, £4O; lot 19, 43 perches, £4O. The total amount realised was £1176, the analysis being, 4 acres 1 rood 24 perches, realising £267 5a 6d per acre. Thirty-perches, situate on Alliance street, together with dwelling house, near the Ssleyards at Addington, realised £220. A number of sections in the Crewe township, at Addington, not reaching owners’ value were passed in.
