Smith wa» brought up, arrested on warrant issued at Dunedin, charged with neglecting to contribute to the support of his three children. He was remanded till to-morrow, the police to make enquiries in the meantime. Bail was accspted in prisoner’s own recognisance of £5. Fighting and Dbuheenness.—For these offences combined, Ed. Hampton was fined 40s, or forty-eight hours’ imprisonment; and John Thomson 20s, or twenty, four hours' imprisonment.
