[Br Telbqbaph.J [Ter s.b. Albion, at the Bluff.] LONDON, November 25. It is stated that the losses sustained by the Albanians and Turks in the conllot _ which took place previous to the occupation of Dolcigno by Dervisoh Pasha were heavy. A discovery of a new system of electric lighting, in which filaments of carbon are employed, is believed to have solved the difficulty of bringing the invention into domestic use. , , , . William Herbert, the bootmaker, late of Footsoray, Victoria, who shot his sister-in-law, Jane Messenger, in Finsbury Park, and afterwards attempted to commit suicide, has been tried for murder, convicted, and sentenced to death.
