The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Thursday, November 18fch, wore as follows :—Spirits, £59 9a 3d ; tobacco, £76 18s 6d: snuff. £29 14s ; wine, £29 16s 6d; beer, £4 Is; sugar, £76 12s lOd ; tea, £56 17s 8d ; goods by weight, £l7 17s 9d; ad valorem, £33 10s ; other duties, £1914s ; total, £lO4 11s 3d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch, on Thursday, November 18th, sales were made as follows Ordinary: Ashley, 30 acres, producing £6O. Refunds were made on account of former purchases in the sum of £3B 13s 3d. AUCTIONEER’S REPORT. Messes C. B. Tatlor and Co. report that a property sale held at their rooms on Thursday -was well attended. The town section containing 1 acre 2 roods 19 perches, with four cottages, realised £1825, half cash by Ist December. The conditions being stringent, greatly affected the sale. The Akaroa property did not find buyers at owner’s limit. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Auckland, November 19. There is little or no change in the produce market. Oats are plentiful, hut first-class samples are still worth 2s 2d. Maize is not over plentiful, bnt the demand has diminished through the greater use of green feed and oats. Coast maize has been sold at 2s fid, but is held for 3a. Sydney maize cannot be landed under 8s Id to 3a 2d, and is limited in supply. Small parcels have been sold at 3s 3d. Fiji is fully stocked, and rules at from Ss 6d to 2s Bd. Picked potatoes are worth £2 10a, bnt new potatoes are rapidly snperseding the old. Dunedin, November 19. Good sample mill wheat, 4s 4d to 4s 8d; fowls’ wheat, 2s 6d to 3s ; feed oats, Is 5d to la 6d ; malt barley. 2s fid to 3a 3d; feed, 1s 5d to la 7d; potatoes, £1 15s ; medium wheat, 3s 9d to 4s ; ■flour £lO 10s to £11; oatmeal, £9 10s: pearl barley, £lB.
