Durham in yesterday’s issue, the second steamer of Messrs Money Wigram and Sons to arrive is tho s.s. Northumberland, a sister ship to the Durham. She left Plymouth on the 24th of October, and gees to Wellington direct. She wag loaded in London by the New Zealand Shipping Company, and willbe despatched by them for London via Cape Horn some time in February next. . The trading steamer Queen Victoria of Glasgow, 2133 tons, which left Calcutta, for London, via Suez Canal, on June 12th last, has never been heard of since she left the month of the Hooghly, and it is feared that she has foundered in the Indian Ocean with all hands, being now many weeks overdue at Suez. She was ladeu with a cargo of tea, indigo, cotton and other produce, estimated to have been worth close upon .£150,000. This is chiefly insured in London companies. The crew numbered fifty Ml told. It is not known at present whether she carried any passengers. THE CBUSADEE. This ship, one of Messrs Shaw, Savill and Co.’s best known traders to this port, was cleared for the United Kingdom yesterday by Messrs P. Cunningham and Co., and last evening went into the stream in readiness for taking her departure to-day. Her cargo consists altogether of cereals, and her very popular commander, Captain Davies, will carry with him the best wishes of a wide circle of Canterbury friends that he may make a fast run home.
