The sculling match between Trickett and Rush took place yesterday on Parramatta river. Rush won easily by three lengths. The betting was 5 to 4on Trickett. MELBOURNE, November 15. A Box of Gold Hissing. A bos with £SOOO in gold, consigned to the Bank of New Zealand, is missing from the steamship Tararua, which arrived yesterday. It is thought possible that it has been left at Dunedin, where the Tararna’s cargo was transhipped from the Hawea. ADELAIDE, November 13. Floating of the Sorata. The Orient Company’s steamer Sorata, which went on a reef some time ago, has been safely floated. ADELAIDE, November 15. The Sorata has been brought to the Semaphore, and will ultimately proceed to Melbourne.
