The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Thursday, November 11th, were as follows: —Spirits, £25 9s 7d; tea, £8 Os lOd; sugar, .£33 4s 2d; goods by weight, 7a; ad valorem, £l4 17s; total, £Bl 18s 9d. Messrs Geo. Kino and Co. received advices by the last English mail relative to the quality of New Zealand oats, to the effect that a large quantity they shipped home was said to be the finest sample ever seen in the home markets. Their agents state that they are really so good that they are out of the ordinary trade requirements, and a portion of the shipments sold at 32s per quarter.
