The ordinary monthly meeting was held at the Schoolroom on NovemberSrd. Correspondence was read from the Board confirming Miss Henderson’s appointment as infante’ mistress. The attendance returns for quarter ending September 30th was received, showing a working average of 182. The master’s monthly report was read, by which it appeared that the average for the past month was 193, and all the classes attending well. The entertainment committee reported that the late concert in aid of the school funds had been a success, upwards of £2O having been realised, and a vote of thanks was passed to the master, teachers, and scholars, for their efforts on the occasion. The working of the present system of striking an average attendance was discussed, and the committee were unanimously of opinion that wet afternoons should be equitably allowed for, and supported the action taken by the Christchurch committee upon the same subject.
