A sculling match took place over the usual champion course on the Thames to-day, between Laycock, of Sydney, and Hosmer, of Boston, America, for £2OO a side. The race resulted in a somewhat easy victory for Laycock by three lengths. LONDON, November 3. Mr John Ireland has been appointed to act as referee in the sculling match between Trickett and Hanlan.
