Foe the information of Melbourne Exhibition excursionists from New Zealand, it is notified by the Union Steamship Company that excursion tickets will be available until the 31st of January next. Coastal excursion tickets will be issued between the 15th of December and the end of January. The Union Company’s handy guide for this month has it that the s.s. Hero will leave Melbourne about the 12th instant for Sydney. Thence she will come on to Anck and, and on direct from that port to Hokitika, returning to Melbourne via Newcastle and Sydney. The s.s. Penguin, after a lengthy lay up, has oeme into service on the coast again. She arrived yesterday from Dunedin in beautiful order, and left in the evening for Mannkan via the coastal ports. Immediately the Wanaka, now in dock, is released, which will be in a few days, the Fengnin is to take np the trade on the Bast Coast of the North Island, Tauranga te be included in her ports of -call. In the newlyissned time-table for this month it is announced that, should sufficient indneement offer, the Tnion Company will send the Fengnin on her annual trip to the West Coast Sounds on the Ist of January.
