There was an immense concourse of spectators, estimated at over 100,000. The conrse, it is believed, has never before been so crowded. The Marquis of Normanby, Sir Wo. Jsrvois and the Duke of Manchester were present. Lord Burghley was third, Lothair, Martindale and Chester following. Time—3mm. 34 J sec. Napper Tandy was placed third by the judge, but this was found to bo an error.

Q-rand Flaneur winning the Cup makes it hard on the bookmakers, as be has been largely hacked on doubles. Flaneur has never yet been beaten, and his victory to-day was very popular. All the placed horses were strong favorites, showing they were running true. Kensington Stakes, a sweepstakes of 10 sovs each, h ft, with 200 added. For 2 yrs old—colts Bst 51b, fillies Bst.
