The Government telegram from the camp states that yesterday about fifty Natives, nearly all men, came to the camp to fence early in the morning, bringing stakes and branches, a few of which they stuck in the ground. The remainder they threw across the road, and then retired. This morning two Armed Constabulary men who were going from the camp to Opunake on leave, were stopped by about thirty Natives at a place called Parapara, where they have erected a fence across the road, and were not allowed to proceed.
