Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) no under THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, For Otago, per Wanaka, at 12.25 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 12.35 p.m. ; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern ports, Australian Colonies, per Eingarooma, at 320 p.m.; lata fee letters, at 330 p.m.; guard’s van, 4.5 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Tui, at 4.20 p.m, ; late fee letters, at 4.35 p.m. ; guard’s ran, 5.25 p m. train. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30. For Cape Town (for specially addressed correspondence only), per Sunbeam, at 11.15 am. ; late fee letters, at 11.30 am. ; guard’s van, 12 noon train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via San Francisco, will close on November 6th. This mail will bo due in-London on December 22nd. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close on November 17th. This mail will bo due in London on January 6tb, 1881. SYDNEY J.
