The save of the Exhibition was crowded with visitors. Many of the foreign and intercolonial courts were closed, including that of Jfew Zealand, Queensland and Germany. The picture gallery, too, was not accessible, but sufficient was left to provide anpla entertainjment for the visitors. The affair, altogether, was considered a great success. It is stated that Mr Munro, one of the commissioners, removed the barriers in front of the New Zealand court, declaring that all such obstructions were unlawful. SYDNEY, October 19.
A surveying party, consisting of Messrs Lament Young (Government geologist), H. W. Lloyd, Towers, and John Hopley left dßermagtti for Clyde on Saturday. A boat was picked up on the beach 40 miles north of Clyde on Monday morning, and the same afternoon it was reported that four bodies had been washed ashore. The gravest fears are entertained, as nothing has been beard since of the party. There are some fears of foul play, as bullets were found iu the boat’s thwarts, besides there being traces of pelting the boat with stones. Others suppose that Young went into the bush to search for minerals and got lost. Mr Binney, of the Minerals Department, started on Friday to thoroughly investigate the country and coast for the missing men. An active search is being made by others, although as yet unsuccessfully. A rumour is current among the miners of Bermagui that Sullivan, the New ■Zealand murderer, was among the party, but this is believed to be untrue. ADELAIDE, October 19.
