NORTH CANTERBURY RACE CLUB.

A meeting of the general committee of this club was held at Moody's Bed Lion Hotel, Bangiora, on Friday evening list. There was a good attendance. The chair was occupied by Captain Parsons. It was decided after disoussion not to build a grand stand this year. The proposed programme for the forthcoming events was submitted and carefully considered. The decision was unanimous that the amount for the Cup be increased £lO, making it £6O. The conditions of the Farmers* District race were altered to allow horses to run which, had never won a race of £2O or over. With these exceptions last year's programme will be adhered to. A ground committee) was appointed to get the course put into proper order, and a sub-committee, consisting of Mefsrs Buss, M'Grath and Fulton, was appointed to canvass the town for subscriptions. The meeting then terminated.
