MAGISTRATES' COURTS.
OHBISTOHTJBOH. Monday, Octobbb 25. CBafore G. L. Meliish, Esq., B.M.] Dbunkbnnbss.—For first offences, a man smd a woman were dealt with in the usual way. Alfred Piper was fined 10s and cab hire 3* 6d. Andrew Anderson was fined 10s.
Mahsiaughtkb.—Henry Davenport, Bobt. Shand, and Charles Vere Hodge appeared, on remand, charged with baring, on September 28th, caused the death by shooting of E. H. Pearse. Mr Oowlishaw appeared for Shand and Hodge, Mr Bruges for Davenport. Mr Oowlishaw applied for accused to be allowed to stand in the body of the Court while the oase was being heard. Permission was not given. The evidence brought forward wai very voluminous and was the same as that given at the inquest. _ After an adjournment the oase was proceeding when we went to press. LYTTELTON Monday, October 25. [Before J. Ollivier and T. H. Potts. Esq*., J.P's] Dbtok. —James Wrait, drunk and disorderly on Sunday, against whom there were two previous conviotions, was fined 20s. Labcbnt.—D. A. Crawford was remanded until next Friday on a charge of stealing a meerschaum pipe the property of Bobert Dunlop. '
