The Customs duties collected at Christchurch an Monday, October 18th, were as follows: Spirits, £199 Is sd; tobacco, £43 8s; wine, £ll 14s 2d; beer, 4s 6d; sugar, £5 17s 7d; tea, £3 13s 4d; goods by w.ight, £l2 4s; ad valorem, £2 17s ; total, £279.
At the nsual Bitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Monday, October 18th, sales were made as follows : Ordinary—Ashley 151 acres, Ashbnrton 6 acres 3 roods. Village Settlement, Deferred Payment —South Bakaii 2 acres 3 roods 8 perches. Total acreage sold, 100 acres 2 roods 8 perches. Total cash received, £3lB 6s.
