The following are the vital statistics of the principal to wnsf or the month of September: —
The total births in the above boroughs amounted to 485, against 514 ia August, being a decrease of 29. The deaths amounted to 164 in September, a decrease of 3 on the number for August. Of the above deaths, males contributed 96; females, 68. 67 of the deaths were of children under five years of age, being 40.85 per cent, of the whole number ; 46 of these were of ohildren under one year of age.
