[KlOir QW3. OVTh" COBBESPOKDEHT.] . WELLINGTON, October 19. The Two Murderers.
I hear that the case of the two murderers under sentence of death came before the Executive to-day, bnt nothing definite was arrived at. With regard to the Chinaman the official papers hare not yet arrived from Otago, so nothing could be done. The case of the Auckland murderer, Fijian Joe, was discussed at considerable length, but it was deemed advisable that some further information should be obtained before a decision was come to as to carrying out or remitting the capital sentence. The matter was therefore postponed pending the receipt of additional papers from Auckland.
